Driving From the M42
You should leave the M42 at Junction 5 (Knowle) taking the A41 exit towards Solihull. Continue to follow the A41, taking the third exit of the next roundabout onto the A41 Solihull Bypass towards Birmingham. Turn/bear right at the A41 Warwick Road - you will find Leaded Light on the right hand side of the road.
The journey from Junction 5 to Leaded Light is 4.3 miles and takes around 7 minutes.
How to Find Leaded Light
Leaded Light is located on the A41 'Warwick Road' in a pleasant area called Olton, between Solihull and Birmingham. The nearest motorway is the M42.
Travelling By Train:
The nearest train station is Olton station which is a stop on the local line between Dorridge and Birmingham Snow Hill (also stops at Birmingham Moor Street). A very few London Marylebone trains stop directly at Olton (late evening).
Travellers should debark at Olton Station. Turn left out of the station onto Station Drive and then right onto Ulverley Green Road. At the end of the road turn left onto the main Warwick Road and walk up the hill. You will find Leaded Light at the top of the hill on the left hand side. The walk from Olton Station takes around 10 minutes at a medium/slow pace.
Travellers whose Birmingham bound train terminates at Birmingham New Street should take a local train to Olton from Birmingham Moor Street. Moor Street is a short walk from New Street station - station staff will be able to give clear directions.
Travelling By Bus:
The 37 bus route between Birmingham city centre and Solihull stops very near to Leaded Light on Warwick Road. The nearest bus stop is "Ulverley Green, Reservoir Road" which is the stop after Olton Station when travelling from Birmingham.
The 37 service is very frequent (less than 10 minutes between buses mon-fri daytime). You can plan your route and check service frequency at the West Midlands Travel website.
Travelling By Aeroplane:
The nearest airport is Birmingham International which is around 4 miles away.
It is quickest and easiest to get a taxi from the airport to Leaded Light. Your journey should take around 5-15 minutes depending on traffic and time of day.
